About Dragon Grips

Each of us wakes up with some drive - with a passion - each
day. For us at Dragon Grips its the drive of being the best at
what we do - making films - assisting Directors and DOPs to
realize their creative ideal.

We believe in going out of our way in order to create the
impossible - or - going out of our way to create a bit of simplicity,
whichever suits the moment.

As a team of grips, we have worked with each other in a very
systematic way which ensures that everything is in place and done
efficiently in order to save time on set and to create a smooth set
up, rig, de-rig or what ever may be in the works.

Often enough we have been asked the possibility of an
unconventional rig and have surprised the person asking by the
immediate follow through. At Dragon Grips we pride ourselves
with this fact: We try our best to create the shot necessary -
nothing is impossible and always worth the try.

Because we are such a strong and tight team, knowing each
other's strong points, we can assist each other in order to create
harmony and efficiency in a time consuming effort. Our constant
re-invention of gear and ideas have proven time and again that in
order to become the best, we have to always strive to make any
rig, any shot as rapid and proficient, always keeping safety as a
priority...which in turn helps the Director, the DOP and the
Production.

We are proud of our team and ourselves for having strived to get
to where we are today. We are proud for having had the
opportunity to work with amazing Directors like Clint Eastwood -
Invictus; Ed Zwick - Blood Diamond; Philip Noyce - Catch a Fire;
Andrew Niccol - Lord of War and Craig Baxley - The Triangle just
to name a few of our favorites. Oh! Not to forget Paul
Greengrass and his very unique style on Green Zone.

We all had a lot to learn from some amazing DOPs such as Tom
Stern - Invictus; Caleb Deschanel - Ask the Dust; David Eggby -
Racing Stripes; Amir Mokri - Lord of War and of course Eduardo
Serra - Blood Diamond.

Perhaps it's our passion for what we create that excites us to
begin our day. Perhaps it's knowing that we can help create some
possibilities for some creatives to put in reality what they invision
in their minds.

But one thing is for certain, our team and ourselves - the make
up of Dragon Grips - will always strive to be and offer the best for
our industry...
